Honoring Worldwide Achievement In Publishing
The Digital Book World Awards feature an international panel of judges and will honor the best of the best from across the wide world of publishing.
From trade publishing, to educational publishing, to corporate publishing, to academic and scholarly publishing, to independent publishing, to the companies that produce great products and services that facilitate all forms of publishing...the Digital Book World Awards honor all forms of publishing and content creation, big and small.
The Digital Book World Awards feature over 100 awards available across the wide world of publishing, spanning the globe.
NOMINATION AND AWARDING PROCESS:
Submit nominations for Digital Book World Awards in one of two ways:
1) Through the nomination form included on this website. Nominations open Monday, March 19, at 8 AM Central time and will remain open until Friday, June 8, at 8 PM Central time. Each nomination carries a fee of US$59 and must be made individually via the web form.
Click the link to access the form, select the award you'd like to make a nomination for, and attach a PDF containing your name, company name, your nomination, and all supporting information you'd like to include for committee consideration. (This will need to be done for each nomination.) The supporting information included should focus on activities which have taken place on or after October 1, 2017.
OR
2) Each registered attendee of Digital Book World 2018 receives ten (10) nominations, complementary as part of registration, which can be submitted via email.
Once an attendee is registered for Digital Book World 2018, an email can be sent from the registered email address to DBW@ScorePublishing.us with the nominations for the Digital Book World Awards - up to 10 may be included. Those nominations will be processed, provided they come before the June 1 deadline. One single PDF may be provided via email with all information about award nominations.
All books nominated for Digital Book World awards must have an English translation available if requested. Individuals making nominations may nominate any book, individual, company, or work for any award, whether they are directly connected to the nominee or not.
Any individual, book, company, etc. may be nominated for multiple awards across multiple categories, without limitation.
Registrations across all categories are received and processed, with judges assigned for each category. Lists of Finalists for each category will be announced on Monday, August 27.
Overall DBW Award winners will be announced during Digital Book World 2018's awards reception (Tuesday, October 2), with some being announced live and others being announced via publication to DigitalBookWorld.com.
Note that "Large Publisher" is defined as a publisher with $10M in annual revenue or greater, while "Small Publisher" is defined as a publisher with less than $10M in annual revenue.

Publishers
These awards are intended to recognize exceptional organizations within the global publishing landscape. "Educational" publishing is defined as publishing content aimed at educational markets, such as K-12, higher education, or training. "Academic" publishing (or scholarly publishing) is defined as publishing content produced by experts, which often must go through a peer review process, which is aimed at an audience comprised of other experts. "Corporate" publishing is defined as publishing taking place within any corporation not ordinarily associated with the publishing industry.

These awards are intended to recognize exceptional individuals within the global publishing landscape. "Technologist" is defined as an employee of a technology company producing a product or service to serve the publishing industry. "Commentator" is defined as a member of media who has reported on the publishing industry at least once since October 1, 2017.
