In response to the overwhelmingly positive feedback, Digital Book World (DBW) has expanded from an annual conference to a year-round community, focusing on educational and networking resources and events for consumer publishing professionals and their partners, including agents, booksellers and technology vendors. In partnership with select industry consultants, DBW also offers a platform of services for small and mid-sized publishers to help them navigate the digital transition.

Prior to joining Digital Book World in October 2011, Jeremy spent three years as a careers editor at FINS.com, a Dow Jones/The Wall Street Journal site that he helped launch. Jeremy has spent time as a journalist covering magazines, media, marketing, advertising, culture, careers, finance, technology, the economy and, now, digital books. Jeremy lives and works in New York City and is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania.
Deanna Utroske is responsible for creating, organizing and managing many of Digital Book World’s content products, including Webcasts, bundled content and other editorial content. She assists with article creation and editing, web producing, social media content and contributes to Digital Book World’s overall editorial management and strategy.
An active member of New York Women in Communications, Deanna serves on the Integrated Marketing & Communications Committee. Previously, Deanna worked in the editorial office of Signs: Journal of Women in Culture and Society, a publication of the University of Chicago Press.

Prior to joining F+ W Media is a seasoned veteran in the event marketing and sponsorship sales industries. Raymond’ specialty is creating revenue growth and adding strategic alliance partners. Raymond’s proven track record extends from some of the world’s leading trade and consumer event producers including; Brainstorm Group, Reed Exhibitions and the Comdex/Interface Group. Raymond is an active member of IEG (International Events Group) the leading provider of consulting, valuation, measurement research and training to the global sponsorship industry.

Gary is responsible for the day-to-day management of F+W Media’s Digital Book World, StoryWorld and Design Communities. Prior to joining F+W Media he was Managing Director, North America for Incisive Media responsible for running their North American operations as well as their Interactive Division which included the Search Engine Strategies, Search Engine Watch and ClickZ brands. Gary has also held senior management positions at Reuters, Thomson Financial and Euromoney where he was responsible for a broad portfolio of media properties.

Dan Kern oversees SEO for F+W, helping to build and maintain online communities, develop partnerships, bring customers access to quality online content, product, and services through search engine visiblity. Currently living in Denver, CO, Dan enjoys mountain sports, coffee shop hopping and playing live music. He is the lead guitarist for the band, Grub Street Writer, and the owner-operator of a guitar blog. Dan publishes an online SEO Guide, offering “How to SEO” advice and more in his SEO blog.
