OptiQly Expands Management Team with the Addition of Two Senior Executives
January 9, 2017, New York, NY—OptiQly, a marketing technology and services start-up focused on optimizing the display, marketing and sales of books and other products at online retailers, today announced the expansion of their management team with two key hires.
Didier Jean Charles joined OptiQly in October as Director of Engineering, bringing nearly 20 years of expertise in architecting and implementing consumer-facing, data-intensive applications for online advertising, publishing and interactive agencies. He was most recently the director of application and online technology at one of New York City’s key cultural institutions, Lincoln Center.
Evan Schnittman, CEO of OptiQly, commented, “Didier brings technical muscle and intelligence to our team, particularly around machine learning, as we prepare to launch tools and services to optimize the positioning of products within online marketplaces.” OptiQly’s first tool, which provides real-time, on-page analytics for Amazon book product pages and the marketing ecosystem in which they live, is currently in private beta and will launch in early 2017.
Susan Ruszala joins OptiQly as VP of Sales, and brings deep publishing technology and marketing expertise to the team. Susan has nearly 15 years of experience in technology and media, most recently as President of Netgalley. As VP of Sales, Susan will work closely with both the services and software arms of the OptiQly business to help organizations find, develop and maximize the audience for their books and other products.
“OptiQly’s methodology is innovative, data-centric and technology-driven—drawing on tactics and intelligence from within and outside of books,” said Ruszala. “I’m looking forward to working with publishers, agents and authors to introduce them to OptiQly’s tools, and to expanding the number of organizations we can work with via our Services group.”
OptiQly, Inc. offers consulting services to help organizations identify, assess, develop, and engage audiences for their books and authors, ultimately increasing marketing efficiency, sales conversion and brand value. In October 2016, OptiQly acquired The Logical Marketing Agency, which had a very successful track record working with publishers, agents, retailers, authors and multinational brands to bring data-driven, audience centric marketing to bear on the efforts.
