Smashwords has made two enhancements to its Coupon Manager tool to give authors and publishers more flexibility over their promotions.
With its new metered coupon feature, Smashwords now allows authors to set redemption values to help create urgency for limited campaigns. For example, an author can create a coupon that enables the first 100 coupon redeemers to receive the special offer.
The second new feature is the ability to add descriptive campaign labels, which allow authors who are running multiple campaigns to set descriptions—only visible to the author—to more easily monitor the effectiveness of different simultaneous campaigns.
Smashwords first introduced its Coupon Manager tool nearly eight years ago.
