Shelfie, an app that allows users to take a picture of their physical books and receive free or discounted digital versions, announced today that it has launched a new “Deal Finder” feature.
The feature recognizes patterns in the way readers organize their bookshelves to recommends books they might be interested in, and then monitors the prices of these suggested titles and sends alerts when a title goes on sale.
“Shelfie already lets readers digitize their shelves,” said Shelfie Co-founder and CEO Peter Hudson. “We’re excited to make it even easier for readers to discover their next great read and save money at the same time.”
Shelfie currently has more than 450,000 titles available through its free app, which is available on iOS and Android.
