ODILO announced last week that it has partnered with Claned, bringing the former’s 1.1 million pieces of digital content to Claned’s customer base. Claned, a Finnish company working in “education methodology,” will bring its artificial intelligence technology to ODILO’s customers.
“Claned is a natural partner for us,” said Rodrigo Rodriguez Lopez, CEO of ODILO. “We have already begun to implement our joint solutions and our customers are excited about the analytics that Claned exclusively offers.”
The deal was agreed to in March 2016, at Madrid’s Open Future-Telefónica meeting, Telefónica’s global program for the development of talent and technology-digital venture.
“ODILO offers almost every conceivable form of consumption of digital learning content, allowing Claned users to expand their sources of knowledge and resources,” said Mervi Palander, CEO of Claned. “For example, borrowing ebooks from our platform, ODILO offers all popular publishers and it is very easy for libraries to deliver protected digital content with DRM.”
ODILO, based in Spain and the United States, offers a “comprehensive product suite for the discovery, management, and distribution of library print and digital materials.” Claned, based in Finland, provides an intelligent learning environment that aides in more effective learning and teaching.
