LightSail Partners with Antares Reading on Student Literacy

LightSail Education, students, reading, literacy, teachersLightSail Education, an adaptive reading platform for students, announced that it has partnered with children’s book publisher Antares Reading to receive access to 850 original digital titles, in English and Spanish, for K-9 students.

The new digital content is available on LightSail’s adaptive literacy platform and includes in-text, real-time assessment. The available titles are appropriate for young readers’ abilities with Lexile levels ranging from 200-450, and are designed to help students overcome the comprehension struggles often encountered among beginning readers.

The content is geared toward issues that reflect contemporary society, depicting a spectrum of races, ages and family structures.

“Research shows that even young children are interested in non-fiction,” said educator Sarah Scott Frank, who oversees the creation of Antares Reading’s titles. “Antares Reading takes kids seriously at a lower reading level, fulfilling their thirst for quality non-fiction digital titles.”
