Booktrack announced today that it has partnered with Little, Brown Books for Young Readers to bring soundtracks to young adult novellas. Booktrack, which syncs text with movie-style soundtracks, will use its platform to offer YA readers a new way to read such authors as Libba Bray, Laini Taylor, Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl, Jennifer E. Smith and Rebecca Serle.
All ebooks will be made available throughout the summer on Little, Brown’s Booktrack page, with a regular monthly slate of new releases.
“Booktrack is doing exciting things in the digital space,” said Tina McIntyre, Hachette’s senior executive director of content development. “We are eager to have these newly imagined digital versions of original titles available. We expect they will add an extra layer of reading enjoyment for current fans, while bringing a whole new audience to the titles to experience the joy of reading and listening together.”
The summer launch includes popular titles from Little, Brown’s digital original imprint, NOVL
Booktrack will also release soundtrack versions for original ebooks by Jennifer Rush, Emily Lloyd-Jones, Kendall Kulper, Kate Elliot and Virginia Boecker throughout the summer.
