Rizzoli Unveils Three Category Winners of BigJump Literary Award, Launched in Italy with Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing

More than 500 self-published novels participating and more than 500,000 views in the BigJump dedicated section on the online platform provided by Italian startup 20lines

Rizzoli announced the three Category Winners of
BigJump, the firBigJumpst literary award in Italy for self-published novels, launched by Rizzoli, Amazon’s KDP and the Italian start-up 20lines.

BigJump is brand-new form of book crowd-selection that engages the online readers to identify the 10 hottest finalists for each of the three contest’s genres (thriller, romance, historical fiction) starting from the pool of all participating novels. The selection of the 30 finalist novels is really up the readers.

Writers and readers showed their enthusiasm toward this innovative writing contest with:

  • 500+ participating novels, all self-published on the Kindle Store;
  • 500,000+ views of the BigJump dedicated section on the 20lines platform.

Out of the 30 finalists, Rizzoli has autonomously selected the three BigJump Category awards’ winners. They are:


  • Nessun perdono by Giuliano Fardo, for the Thriller category;
  • Dimmi se ne vale la pena by Stefania Balotelli, for the Romance category;
  • Il cerchio del diavolo by Giuseppe Pantò, for the Historical category.


The three winning novels have already been reviewed/curated and now are digitally published by Rizzoli. They are available on Kindle Store and on the other key digital bookstores in Italy.

By the end of the month, Rizzoli and Amazon’s KDP will announce the winners of the top two prizes: BigJump Rizzoli and the BigJump KDP awards.

Rizzoli will nominate the BigJump Rizzoli Winner among the three BigJump Category winners and will publish the novel in print. Amazon will nominate the BigJump KDP Winner among the 30 finalists, taking into consideration customers’ appreciation and will promote the ebook on the Kindle Store.

20lines is an Italian startup that hosts a web community of writers and readers where everyday hundreds of stories of any genre are written, read and commented.
