HarperCollins Widens Direct Marketing Push With Podcast Series

HarperCollins announces a weekly podcast program featuring conversations with some of the publisher’s top authors.

The series, called “HarperCollins Presents,” builds on the publisher’s existing base of followers on SoundCloud, the audio streaming platform, and marks the latest in a coordinated effort to market directly to readers.

HarperCollins launched a direct-to-consumer sales platform through its website in July and earlier this month added incentives for authors to usher customers to the publisher’s online store.

HARPERCOLLINS ANNOUNCES NEW GLOBAL PODCAST NETWORK: ‘HARPERCOLLINS PRESENTS’

New York, NY (October 27, 2014) — HarperCollins Publishers today announced HarperCollins Presents, a new, global podcast network that brings listeners conversation and inspiration from authors, editors and creators, and promises new perspectives on the world of books, culture and arts.

Each week the HarperCollins Presents podcast series will feature an exchange of ideas from leading authors and creatives – from home-grown heroes to global stars. It will take listeners behind the scenes, explaining the mysteries of the creative process and inspiring fans to think differently.
