HarperCollins eBooks now available to U.K. libraries
5,000+ titles from popular authors available for the first time to U.K. libraries and schools
OverDrive announced today that the entire eBook catalog from HarperCollins is now available for library and school lending in the United Kingdom through the OverDrive service. Public libraries, primary and secondary schools, academic and corporate libraries in the U.K. will now have access to HarperCollins’ full eBook catalog of more than 5,000 titles.
“We are thrilled to work with HarperCollins to offer their eBook titles to our library and school partners in the U.K.,” said Karen Estrovich, Director of Collection Development at OverDrive. “With the full HarperCollins catalog now available, British readers can enjoy these popular eBooks anytime, anywhere by borrowing from their library’s or school’s digital collection.”
For the first time, authors such as Neil Gaiman, Hilary Mantel, Philippa Gregory, Barbara Kingsolver, Louise Erdrich, Joyce Maynard, Jodi Picoult, Diane Mott Davidson and others are available for eBook lending in the U.K. Titles such as Innocence by Dean Koontz, The Divergent Trilogy by Veronica Roth, Twelve Years a Slave by Solomon Northrup and many more are included in the catalog.
Each copy of the HarperCollins eBooks purchased may be borrowed 26 times before its license expires and a new license must be purchased. To add HarperCollins titles to their collection or for recommended lists, U.K. libraries can contact their OverDrive Collection Development Specialist.
