HACHETTE BOOK GROUP HIRES DAN LUBART AS SVP, STRATEGY AND PUBLISHING OPERATIONS
April 30, 2014 – Joe Mangan, Chief Operating Officer of Hachette Book Group (HBG), announced today that Dan Lubart has been hired as Senior Vice President, Strategy and Publishing Operations. Lubart was previously SVP of Sales Analytics and Pricing at HarperCollins. In his new role, Lubart will oversee strategic planning, business development, digital media/distribution, and supply chain management functions of all imprints within HBG.
Lubart will work to improve the performance of the publishing business, including a focus on business intelligence, enhanced reporting tools that combine sales, marketing, and publicity data, and continued improvement of demand forecasting. He’ll spearhead HBG’s initiatives to use digital publishing technologies in ever broader and more transformative ways. Lubart will also help to identify new business opportunities, strategic partnerships and potential areas of growth and investment.
