Digital Book World International Fellowship Program Announced

January 6, 2014-NEW YORK–Digital Book World Conference + Expo, and parent Company F+W Media, are delighted to announce the launch of the International Fellowship Program, to run alongside the fifth annual Digital Book World Conference taking place January 13-15 2014 in New York City. Six esteemed publishing professionals from around the world have been named to the inaugural program. The Fellows will benefit not only from the education and insight derived from the conference itself but also the opportunity to network with and meet a group of like-minded peers.

 

The Digital Book World Fellows for 2014 are:

 

Cristina Mussinelli is responsible for the technological innovation and digital publishing areas within the Italian Publishers Association where she manages European and international projects, the digital publishing professional training course program and the Editech conference.

 

Ahmed Bedeir is General Manager of Dar El Shorouk. He co-founded and managed CLIP Solutions, a pioneer in digital media, later acquired by Dar El Shorouk, one of the leading publishing and media groups in the Middle East.

 

Justine Solomons is founder of Byte the Book,  a membership organization that educates, assists and connects writers, publishers and agents as they navigate the changes in the business of writing and publishing. She is also Publisher in Residence at the Kingston Writing School.

 

Suzanne Wilson-Higgins is Deputy Managing Director / EU Sales & Marketing Director, Lion Hudson, she is a 25 year publishing veteran experienced in bookselling, print-on-demand and digital media.

 

Rebecca Smart is CEO of Osprey Group, a UK-based international publishing company focused on producing content for enthusiasts via branded imprints for niche markets. 

 

Sam Missingham recently joined HarperCollins UK as head of events. Before this, she worked on the UK’s trade magazine The Bookseller running their conferences and awards program including FutureBook.

 

Digital Book World presenters will share research and best practices for managing, marketing and producing books in a business disrupted by digital change.
