By the end of 2014, Amazon will only have a 3% share of tablet sales in the global tablet market, according to a new report by ABI Research, a Long Island-based research firm:
The 2014 estimate is based on three quarters of sales data. Apple and Samsung dominate the tablet market, with other players like Lenovo and ASUS the lead second-tier players. Amazon is estimated to sell the fifth-most tablets worldwide this year.
