Forest Incentives Partners with BookShout! and Top Publishers to Provide Premium eBook Delivery Platform to Millions of Donors and Thousands of Public Television and Radio Stations
Public Media Stations and Non-Profits Will Provide Bestselling eBooks to Donors; HarperCollins Publishers, Macmillan, Open Road Integrated Media, Simon & Schuster, Wiley, Workman Publishing and Others Lead the Way
Forest Incentives, the internationally recog-nized premium supplier, announced a partnership with BookShout! to serve millions of donors with a branded and mobile premium eBook delivery platform. For the first time, public radio and television stations from New York to San Francisco can provide donors with bestselling ebooks and well-known authors.
BookShout!’s revolutionary new eBook delivery system, akin to establishing thousands of new sales channels for publishers and authors, will allow each individual station to of-fer a locally-curated selection of ebooks. Stations will be able to offer their donors ebook delivery as a thank-you gift for their philanthropic support.
Publishing giants such as HarperCollins Publishers, Macmillan, Open Road Integrated Media, Simon & Schuster, Wiley, Workman Publishing, and numerous others have committed to participating in the program. “HarperCollins is honored to provide our great content to all public broadcasters via the BookShout!/Forest partnership,” said Chantal Restivo-Alessi, the Chief Digital Officer at HarperCollins. “We believe this will be a powerful new sales channel for our ebooks and authors.”
“Ebook special sales in non-retail channels has long been a final frontier, and so we are pleased to team up with BookShout! and Forest Incentives to open this exciting new sales and distribution platform for books and authors,” said Michael Selleck, Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing at Simon & Schuster. “Public radio listeners and public television viewers are well-known as prolific readers and book buyers and thus a perfect audience for this new sales ebook program.”
“Our mission is to serve all public media stations and non-profits,” said Steven Wit, the President of Forest Incentives, the #1 media distribution company servicing public radio and TV’s fundraising needs. “We believe we do this best by bringing an innovative and powerful platform, via BookShout!, and life-changing and meaningful content, via the major publishers, to our stations.”
Public broadcasting audiences are among the country’s most educated and literate citi-zens. The publishing industry has long known that public radio and TV programming is a vital part of the publishing ecosystem. This new opportunity connects people who love to read and the publishers through an innovative approach to supporting local public media.
“We are humbled to serve top public media stations alongside Forest Incentives,” said Jason Illian, CEO of BookShout! “This is truly a watershed moment where great content, an innovative platform, and forward-thinking publishers converge to create new and lu-crative ebook channels.”
