Another quarter, another avalanche of revenue and profit from one of the world’s most admired tech companies, Apple.

While the company’s $45.6 billion in revenue and $10.2 billion in profit were of interest to Wall Street, publishers should be more interested in the 16 million iPads and nearly 44 million iPhones the company sold last quarter. Each one is a potential ebook reading device.

While iPad sales were down from about 19 million, phone sales were up from about 37 million.
