David Baldacci’s The Target, No. 1 on our weekly best-seller list for the past two weeks, has plummeted to No. 7.
Occupying the topmost slot is The Fault in Our Stars by John Green, the first such achievement for Penguin Random House this year.
It’s neither certain nor particularly likely that Hachette’s spat with Amazon played any role in The Target‘s dive down this week’s list, especially since Hachette claims the issue impacting its titles on Amazon has not extended to the publisher’s ebooks.
But there are other considerations worth weighing, too.
