FaberShop Opens for Business on www.thebookpeople.co.uk
The Book People and Faber and Faber are delighted to launch an exciting new online destination for Faber content and books, direct to the Book People customers – and beyond. FaberShop ( thebookpeople.co.uk/fabershop) is a high-quality magazine-style bookshop featuring a premium online store which sits within the new portfolio of the Book People shops: Red House, LEGO and DK Travel Shop. FaberShop will feature exclusive author interviews, articles and competitions, all based around editorially chosen monthly themes, and will offer a range of promotions on selected titles at retail prices.
The launch theme of this unique new venture will be curated by FaberShop’s editor Hannah Marshall, and will celebrate women writers and the influence they’ve had on the literary landscape and beyond. It will include a ‘Meet the Author’ with Louise Doughty – whose book Whatever You Love was hugely popular among Book People customers, and whose new title Apple Tree Yard is available to buy now – as well as a series of short pieces by Faber authors in which they choose their ‘top five’ women who changed writing and the world.
FaberShop goes live on Tuesday 2 July.
