Penguin Honors the Best in Digital and Video With David ‘Awards’

The David Awards, named for CEO David Shanks, are presented annually by Penguin, honoring excellence among Penguin properties in digital publishing and video production. Internally, the awards are known cheekily as “one of publishing’s…awards.”

In the category of Best Big Budget Video, the winner was Riverhead’s Geoff Kloske for “Lizz Free or Die”:

 

In the category of Best Animated Video, the winner was Plume’s Ashley Pattison McClay for “T-Rex Trying”:

 

In the category of Best Indie Video, the winner was Amy Einhorn for “I Am Jenny Lawson”:

 

And in the category of Best Digital Product, the winner was Penguin Young Readers’ Ed Spade for “Mad Libs.” See the video here.
