ePubDirect expands reach and monetizes social media recommendations for Publishers
Award winning eBook distribution company, ePubDirect, have announced the addition of student centric academic hub, Chegg and cloud based platform ValoBox. ValoBox improves Discoverabilty and Searchabilty of titles through a unique social media based rewards system. The agreement with Chegg extends the reach of the company’s client publishers to more than 5 million students on over 7,000 campuses across the USA. These eighteen million college students exercise over $210 billion in purchasing power every year.
Since it launched nationally as a textbook rental company in 2007, Chegg’s growth has made it one of Silicon Valley’s most successful start-ups. The company offers an array of required and non-required scholastic materials including millions of textbooks in any format, access to online homework help and textbook solutions, course organization and scheduling, as well as college and university matching tools and scholarship connections.

The device agnostic platform, aims make it cheaper, faster and easier to access ebook content. Founded by Anna Lewis and Oliver Brooks, the team behind publishing service CompletelyNovel.com, publishing clients of the platform included O’Reilly, Profile, Guardian Books, Constable & Robinson and Snowbooks.
