Blink, New Young Adult Imprint, Launches
Beginning Fall 2013, Blink Joins Ranks of YA Publishing
Blink, a new imprint from Zondervan targeting an audience in search of compelling young adult literature, launches today. The new imprint will publish authentic and immersive content that engages and inspires readers with cutting-edge plotlines, from fantasy to romance and contemporary classics. Blink will appeal to both teen readers and the growing audience of adult readers looking for innovative and exciting reads.
A new generation of readers has emerged. These readers—ranging in ages 12 to 25—are looking to obtain stories and information immediately. They employ multiple social platforms, digital devices and apps to provide increased immersion in their topic of interest. “While reports have young adults glued to their smart phones and devices for hours every day, ultimately they still love great stories,” said Annette Bourland, senior vice president and publisher at Zondervan. “Blink will provide great content that reflects their attitudes and enhances their lives.”
Planned titles to release under the Blink imprint will range from a new fantasy romance series to a unique dystopian title. Authors and their titles will benefit from a dedicated marketing program that includes extensive social media outreach, advertising and sharing custom content across relevant online and mobile media sources. “Blink isn’t just about a genre it’s about delivering a relevant reading experience in a way that mirrors the young adult reader’s lifestyle,” explained Chriscynethia Floyd, vice president of Marketing, Zondervan.
Blink will release its first titles in August 2013 appealing to a wide variety of readers who enjoy young adult literature.

Blink titles will be available in print and e-book formats at all retailers.
