Bill Penders Replaces Dev Ganesan Atop Aptara

Former RR Donnelley senior executive Bill Penders is now president of Aptara, a large digital publishing services firm owned by Indian business process outsourcing company iEnergizer. He succeeds Dev Ganesan, who will now assume the position of chairman of Aptara’s advisory board.

A note from iEnergizer CEO Anil Agarwal:

I am delighted to share with you the good news that we have appointed Bill Penders as President of Aptara, Inc., with immediate effect.

Bill has deep experience in Publishing and Fortune 500 markets, having previously served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Bowne & Company, an $850M business services company, and subsequently as SVP of International Sales and Operations for RR Donnelley (RRD). Bill is a senior executive leader and an ideal fit to take Aptara through the next exciting stage in its growth. As President and COO of Bowne, Bill led day-to-day business operations for a large global financial publishing business, with responsibility for all sales, customer satisfaction, service efficiency, and operational performance, including product/service development and key business development initiatives. At RRD, Bill led the successful integration of the Bowne organization into Donnelley’s operations, and strategic initiatives to improve the breadth and depth of the International Division’s services portfolio. Bowne/RRD has been a highly valued Aptara customer for many years, providing Bill with invaluable knowledge and insight about Aptara which will help him in his new mission.

Dev Ganesan will be transitioning to his new role as Chairman of the Aptara Advisory Board, effective December 31, 2013. I want to take this opportunity to thank Dev for his many significant accomplishments in serving our customers as CEO during his tenure with Aptara. The company has performed very well over the past several years, meeting and exceeding expectations across the board. As a result, Aptara is operationally robust and very well-positioned to continue its growth trajectory.

Please join me in welcoming Bill to the Aptara team and wishing him well with this new appointment.
