‘Why Not Self-Publish’ Asks Successful Self-Published Author Who Got Publishing Contract
For Deborah Reed, author of the successfully self-published title A Small Fortune, self-publishing has made a turnaround from being a last resort to a possible first option.
Her publishing journey took her from publisher rejection to self-publishing to Amazon Publishing giving her a three-book deal with Houghton Mifflin Harcourt buying the paperback rights (How to self-publish an e-book):
Before the e-book revolution, self-publishing “used to be taboo, a nail in the coffin for writers,” she says. “The question these days might be, why not self-publish?”
