Random House Canada has launched a digital-first imprint as part of a larger, three-pronged digital strategy, according to Publishers Weekly.
The imprint, Hazlitt Originals, will publish books and essays in a digital format first and will experiment with the format. The first e-book is by Canadian journalist Patrick Graham and is about the Arab Spring, titled The Man Who Went to War: A Reporter’s Memoir.
The other parts of the company’s new digital approach are a new online magazine called Hazlitt, which will showcase the company’s authors and content, and a new company website to house both projects.
