Price Promotion Propels Hunger Games to No. 3 on DBW E-Book Best-Seller List
A mid-week price promotion propelled The Hunger Games five spots up the Digital Book World E-Book Best Seller list to No. 3. The price of the book was dropped to $1.99 from $5.00, juicing sales. All the way at the bottom of the list, The Hunger Games trilogy jumped on, but barely, clocking in at No. 25 for $18.99.

The hits continued for Suzanne Collins with her 2010 novel The Underland Chronicles #1: Gregor the Overlander hitting the list at No. 7 — also due to a $1.99 price promotion.
Outside of Scholastic, while agency publishers and prices continued to dominate the list, titles from Soho Press, Amazon and NeedtoRead Books held spots this week. Last week, only four titles priced under $3.00 made the top 25; this week, seven such titles did.
