One of the last holdouts for the e-book era has caved.
Renowned author Thomas Pynchon’s books will be published as e-books by Penguin, the New York Times reports. The author of Gravity’s Rainbow and The Crying of Lot 49 will join Ray Bradbury, Judy Blume and J.K. Rowling as major authors new to the e-book party.
According to the Times, once Pynchon agreed to have his books produced and sold electronically, doing the job was difficult because of his complicated page layouts.
Despite this recent move, Pynchon himself is still a print reader, the president and editor-in-chief of Penguin Press told the New York Times in an interview.
