Open Road to Publish Next Fifty Shades?

[Press Release]

The Eighty Days Trilogy Is The Bestselling British Series Written by Vina Jackson—a Pseudonym for Two Established Writers Collaborating for the First Time Ever

Open Road Integrated Media (, a digital publisher and multimedia content company, announced today that it will digitally publish new British erotic-romance sensation the Eighty Days trilogy in the US and Canada as E-riginals. The series, which takes place in New York and London, is written by a pair of anonymous coauthors—a well-known publishing insider, editor, broadcaster, and erotica collector who has published several novels, and a published author who works as a financial professional in London and is a familiar figure on London’s fetish scene—known as Vina Jackson. The two writers met by chance on a train. The first volume, Eighty Days Yellow published August 2nd by Orion in the UK, has become an instant bestseller and sparked numerous high-figure pre-emptive bids for translation rights.

This trilogy centers on the passionate, turbulent, and sexually charged relationship between two strangers whose taste for domination and submission becomes addictive and leads them into an underground world of sex that tests the limits of their darkest desires. It debuts with Eighty Days Yellow in North America in ebook and print formats on September 18th and continues with Eighty Days Blue and Eighty Days Red later in the fall.

Tina Pohlman, Publisher at Open Road said: “We recognize that readers are hungry for romantic fiction with an edge, and we believe Vina Jackson’s delicious Eighty Days trilogy serves up a spicy and sophisticated addition to the genre.”

Open Road will digitally market Jackson’s trilogy. The company will produce marketing videos about the books, which will be distributed online and syndicated to Open Road’s content partners.

Jackson was represented by Carrie Kania at Conville & Walsh, co-agenting for Sarah Such of Sarah Such Literary Agency. The Eighty Days trilogy is Open Road’s first frontlist deal with Conville & Walsh.

The Eighty Days trilogy comprises the latest titles in Open Road’s E-riginals publishing program, which publishes books that are born digital. Other E-riginals include Mark Salzman’s The Man in the Empty Boat, Jonathon King’s Midnight Guardians, and Mary Glickman’s One More River, which climbed to #3 on Amazon Kindle’s bestseller list.
