Open Road Forms E-Book Partnership With Seventeen Magazine

As more traditional media companies outside of book publishing seek to enter the growing e-book industry, they are forming partnerships with publishing companies born of the e-book era.

Open Road Media has announced a partnership with Seventeen Magazine to produce a series of e-books aimed at teens called “True Teen Stories.”

This is not the first time Open Road has partnered with a Hearst property to produce e-books. The announcement follows similar announcements regarding Esquire and Cosmopolitan magazines, both published by New York-based magazine company Hearst.

Kicks off With “True Teen Stories” – An Ebook Series of True-Life
Stories From Real Teens

(New York, NY June 5th) Open Road Integrated Media, a digital publisher and multimedia content company, and Seventeen Magazine, America’s best-selling teen title, announce “True Teen Stories”, an ebook series of three volumes, with the first volume on sale on June 5th.This partnership expands Open Road’s relationship with other Hearst properties including Esquire and Cosmopolitan.

Inspiring True Teen Stories (on sale 8/7) Eleven girls reveal how they
faced life’s most difficult obstacles and came out stronger.

Terrifying Teen True Stories (on sale 10/2) Eleven teen girls share
how they handled life¹s most tragic and terrifying challenges head on — from being in a robbery to facing brain surgery.
