Just in Time for E-Book Era, Oprah’s Book Club Is Back, Version 2.0

As publishers scramble to figure out how they will help consumers discover and engage with their books in the new e-book era, an old best-seller-making channel has returned.

The New York Times reports that Oprah is launching a brand new book club, version 2.0, “interactive for the digital world,” said Oprah herself in a short video.

Oprah has already made her first pick, Wild, by Cheryl Strayed from Knopf.

Without the Oprah Winfrey Show, will the Oprah Book Club 2.0 have the same, magic effect as its predecessor? Only time will tell.
