iTunes Top Ten Books of the Year Also Dominated by Erotic Romance

As expected, E.L. James and Sylvia Day took five of the top ten spots for the year in the iTunes bookstore, according to Publishers Weekly.

1. Fifty Shades of Grey by E. L. James (Random House)
2. Fifty Shades Darker by E. L. James (Random House)
3. Fifty Shades Freed by E. L. James (Random House)
4. Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn (Random House)
5. Bared to You by Sylvia Day (Penguin)
6. The Lucky One by Nicholas Sparks (Hachette)
7. Kill Shot by Vince Flynn (Simon & Schuster)
8. Reflected in You by Sylvia Day (Penguin)
9. The Innocent by David Baldacci (Hachette)
10. The Racketeer by John Grisham (Random House)

The Amazon top-ten best-selling ebooks of the year list was also topped by the authors of the Fifty Shades series and the Crossfire series.

Day and James have been dominating best-seller lists all year with their erotic romance hits and it’s showing. The genre has become extremely popular this year and these two authors have now taken half the spots on the Amazon and iTunes annual best-seller lists.

In related news, Random House and Penguin also dominate the iTunes list, taking all but three spots.
