Book distributor Ingram Content Group has made two senior-level hires to bolster its management team following the departure of its long-time CEO earlier this year and a shuffle in its c-suite in June.
Ingram has a new chief information officer following the promotion of former chief information officer Shawn Morin to chief operating officer. Pep Carrera will fill the role, which has been vacant since Morin’s promotion in June. He comes most recently from RAPP, an international marketing agency, where he was chief technology officer. He has held senior-level information technology positions at large companies since 1999.
Carrera “brings a deep understanding of content management systems, software as a service, and complex IT systems to Ingram,” read a company statement. He will be based in Nashville and report to Morin.
Kelly Gallgher is now Ingram’s vice president of content acquisition. He comes to Ingram from RR Bowker, where he was vice president of publishing solutions, a role that saw him at many industry events delivering Bowker’s research on the book publishing business. At Ingram, he will be responsible for sales and business development for print-on-demand and digital distribution products. He will be based in New York and report to Ingram chief content officer Phil Ollila.
