Hyperion CEO Ellen Archer on Making Strategic Acquisitions (Video)

Hyperion president and CEO Ellen Archer believes the book business is changing. Fast, fundamentally and forever. She made that clear in a Q&A with Digital Book World in January, where she discussed what she called the book industry’s “broken” business model and what Hyperion is doing differently.

At the Digital Book World Conference, she sat down with us to discuss one of the ways in which Hyperion is adapting: by being more strategic with its acquisitions.

“We’ve got to be more focused in acquisition,” she said.

The company is currently engaged in a study on how it can be more strategic about its acquisitions.

“We’ve got to really focus on what we do best and do a lot more of that,” she said in the video below.
