Following Revelations, HMH Pulls Lehrer E-Book From Shelves

Following the revelation that star New Yorker science reporter Jonah Lehrer fabricated some of his reporting, the publisher of his book Imagine: How Creativity Works, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, has decided to pull his book from shelves — both physical and e-.

A spokesperson for the company told New York Times reporter Julie Bosman the HMH is considering all its options and that the book is being pulled from store shelves and is no longer being sold as an e-book currently.

A quick trip to the Amazon Kindle store reveals that the book has not yet been pulled from the largest e-bookseller’s shelves. This reporter just bought a new copy. (And returned it immediately. Reason given? Quality issues.)
