After pioneering a technology that helped ignite the e-book revolution, E Ink co-founder Russ Wilcox is trying to start another explosive chain reaction — a nuclear reaction, reports Boston.com.
The entrepreneur has signed on as CEO of new start-up Transatomic Power that intends to build easily transportable nuclear reactors that work on the spent fuel from traditional nuclear reactors. The plan is to build them in a central facility and transport them via rail to replace coal plants and aging nuclear power plants.
