Digital Growth Does Not Offset Print Decline for Harlequin in 2011

According to the Harlequin’s parent company Torstar in a statement today (pdf), “Book Publishing Segment revenues, excluding the impact of foreign exchange and acquisitions, were down $5.1 million in 2011 with digital revenue growth not offsetting declines in print revenue in the Overseas markets.”

For the full year, revenues at Torstar’s book publishing segment were $459 million (CA) versus $468 million a year ago. Profit in 2011 was $82 million versus $84 million in 2010.
