Department of Justice to Make Announcement on ‘Significant’ Antitrust Matter Today

At noon today, Attorney General Eric Holder, acting Assistant Attorney General Sharis A. Pozen and Connecticut Attorney General George Jepson will be making an announcement about a “significant antitrust matter,” according to an announcement from the Department of Justice.

The announcement will be held in at the U.S. Department of Justice headquarters in Washington, D.C.

Over the past several months, reports of the DoJ’s investigation into e-book price-fixing by Apple and the so-called “agency five” publishing companies (Penguin, Macmillan, HarperCollins, Hachette and Simon & Schuster).
