Book publicity firm Hilsinger-Mendelson East has hired Claire Daniel as digital media manager, the company announced today. Daniel will lead the company’s digital and social media strategy.
Daniel comes most immediately from Bank Street College, a New York-based educational institution, where she was a Web writer and editor, according to her Linked In profile. She has also spent time at advertising agency Tango Media and in writing and editorial roles at non-profits and blogs. Daniel graduated from the College of William and Mary in 2004 with a bachelor’s degree in English literature and language and also has a master’s degree in digital publishing from New York University.
According to a company spokesperson, Daniel is replacing Iris Blasi, who occupied the position until May when she left for Open Road Media.
The company also announced today the promotion of Emily Pearson from publicity assistant to publicist.
