Barnes & Noble’s New Spinoff Expert

According to The Wall Street Journal, Barnes & Noble’s new chief financial officer is a spinoff expert, although the company denies that’s why it hired him (Bookseller Barnes & Nobel Hires a Spinoff Veteran):

Barnes & Noble Inc. named Michael P. Huseby, a Cablevision Systems Corp. veteran with spinoff experience, as its chief financial officer, but said his spinoff expertise wasn’t the main reason it chose him.

The 57-year-old Mr. Huseby helped cable-TV company Cablevision spin off its Madison Square Garden sports-and-entertainment properties in February 2010 and its AMC Networks TV-entertainment business last summer.
