Amazon Continues to Beef Up Prime Offerings

In its continuing mission to add more content for its Prime subscribers, Amazon has cut a deal with MGM that will bring hundreds more movies and TV shows to Amazon Prime throughout 2012.

The collection will feature movies like Silence of the Lambs and Terminator.

Amazon Instant Video, as the service is called, now features over 18,000 pieces of content.

Most recently, Amazon added Dilbert and Doonesbury digital comics to Prime as well as hundreds of films from Paramount pictures.

Amazon Prime costs users $80 per year. Prime users who own a Kindle also have access to over 100,000 e-book titles for borrowing through the Kindle Owners’ Lending Library.
