It’s the end of the publishing industry as we know it.. unless you reverse how you see me.

Pessimism and cynicism are easy, and the media is full of hyped up stories about the death of publishing, so it’s always refreshing to come across an optimistic take on things, especially when it’s grounded in simple truths.

Digital Book World is all about optimism for the future, so I’m glad the UK branch of Dorling Kindersley Books decided to share their “The Future of Publishing” video with all of us via YouTube.

This video was prepared by the  Originally meant solely for a DK sales conference, the video was such a hit internally that it is now being shared externally. We hope you enjoy it (and make sure you watch it up to at least the halfway point, there’s a surprise!).

Watch it, enjoy it, and more importantly, share it with all of your colleagues, and prove optimism can be just as viral as pessimism and cynicism.
